There are a few former great players in the NBA who are proving to the fans that they should finally end their careers by the end of the 2015-16 season. Here are five of those veteran players who seem completely ready to retire from the game of basketball.

It seems as if Andre Miller has been in the league forever, as he's bounced around to almost every NBA team in his career. His veteran presence over the last few seasons has really helped younger teammates develop, and it looks like Miller could one day become a head coach. However, his career as a player is dwindling down, and it may be time for the point guard to finally end his extraordinary run.

The 2008 NBA Finals MVP finds himself coming off the bench on a Clippers team that so far isn't dominating the way fans expected. Pierce's quest for another title doesn't look promising at this point, leaving him to strongly consider retiring after this season. The Truth has had a Hall of Fame worthy career, but right now it seems like it's the best time for the 38-year-old veteran to call it quits.

The once Half-Man, Half Amazing is one of the most entertaining NBA players in recent history. He's given us a ton of memories that all NBA fans will cherish forever, including his legendary slam dunk contest heroics in the year 2000. Carter has done a great job coping with the fact that he can't do the things he once did, but at the age of 38, it's probably time for him to finally walk away from the game of basketball.

2. Kevin Garnett

It's nice to see the future Hall of Famer back on the team where he once dominated the NBA. The bad news about that is Garnett isn't that same player anymore. Although he is doing a tremendous job mentoring Karl-Anthony Towns to develop him into a superstar, he himself is only averaging four points in 16 minutes per game. KG has had a stellar career, but it looks like it's time for the 15-time All-Star to hang it up.

Of course the No. 1 player on this list is the guy who actually announced his retirement for the end of this season. Kobe has stated on multiple occasions that this will be his final year in the NBA, and it could not come at a better time. He's having his worst year ever in the league, as his shooting has been completely abysmal. His retirement tour is in full effect as we all prepare to say goodbye to the Black Mamba.

James Harden Refuses To Play Defense -- Again

James Harden has a terrible reputation when it comes to playing defense. There's no denying what he's capable of offensively, but defending just isn't his cup of tea. He proved this to be the case once again in Houston's matchup with the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, and his feeble efforts are simply inexcusable.
