The Charlotte Hornets were once the second-best team in the Eastern Conference. The Chicago Bulls were once near the top as well, but injuries and inconsistent play have caused both teams to slip, creating a chance for the Pistons to climb up.

During the trade deadline, the Pistons traded for Tobias Harris. He may not be a star, but the trade helped them get rid of Jennings and they got a good power forward who can shoot.

The center's era may be near its end, but good ones are still important. Drummond made the All-Star team this year and his rebounding and paint prowess are better than that of almost any other center. He only needs to make free throws consistently.
