No one can forget the vociferous boos that were heard during the 2015 NBA Draft when the New York Knicks selected Latvian big man Kristaps Porzingis. Knicks fans knew little-to-nothing about Porzingis and weren’t willing to trust that Phil Jackson made the right decision when there were a number of recognizable names available.
My how things have changed.
Porzingis, 20, is now beloved by the Madison Square Garden faithful. And particularly so by Twitter user @Sam_Miller20, who has spent the last few weeks doing anything and everything she can think of in order to persuade Porzingis into accompanying her to her prom this spring.
