On Tuesday night, Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry shocked the masses by sending Game 1 of Toronto’s series with Miami Heat into overtime with a miraculous halfcourt buzzer-beater
However, the Raptors couldn’t take advantage in overtime and were outplayed at home by the Heat. Part of the reason why Toronto lost this game was Lowry’s inability to get anything going on offense. He went 3-for-13 from the field for a total of seven points, three of which came on the aforementioned play.
Lowry is a fierce competitor, so it should come as a surprise to absolutely no one to see what he did following his disappointing performance. Lowry was filmed working on his shot at 1 a.m. in an empty Air Canada Centre after the game.

Lowry is Toronto’s catalyst, so it’s probably a good sign in a way that the Raptors nearly pulled this game off despite his vanishing act. However, if he doesn’t get things turned around in a hurry, a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals likely won’t be in the cards for the Raptors.
