Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry wasn’t expected to play much in Game 4 against the Portland Trail Blazers, as he’s coming off a knee injury that has sidelined him over the past two weeks. However, once backup Shaun Livingston was ejected from the game, the Warriors had no choice but to let Curry loose.
To the surprise of no one, Curry took over the game (40 points, eight assists, nine rebounds) and led the Warriors to a 132-125 overtime win. You can relive what many are saying is one of the greatest postseason performances of all time by watching this video.
If you needed further proof that Curry deserved to be unanimously named NBA MVP this afternoon, now you have it.
