The Los Angeles Clippers do not have a lot of money to spend this offseason, and they will need to make sure they are being more intelligent with their decisions in free agency. Finding a starting small forward is key, although they may need to target a player willing to take a pay cut in order to play for a contender. They also need to make smaller moves to improve their bench and surround their stars with the right kind of role players.
Point Guard – Chris Paul

Paul is arguably still the best true point guard in the NBA, and he will get another chance next year to make a run out West. He showed his dominance when Blake Griffin went down and is one of the few players who is elite on both sides of the ball.
Shooting Guard – J.J. Redick

Redick shot a ridiculous 48 percent from deep last season, and his shooting allows more space for Paul to operate in the pick and roll. Coach Doc Rivers also loves running plays for Redick to come off of screens to get an open shot.
Small Forward – Luol Deng

Deng may be willing to take a pay cut in order to join a contender. He can guard multiple positions, create his own shot, and is a true professional on the court. His versatility would be ideal for the playoffs, and he also has big-game experience.
Power Forward – Blake Griffin

Griffin is still one of the best power forwards in the game when healthy, and he has continued to adapt his game as he gets older. He needs to take the next step and prove that he can take over games late if the Clippers want to truly be a contender.
Center – DeAndre Jordan

Jordan’s length and athleticism make him an ideal rim protector, and his speed allows him to switch if necessary on the perimeter. He plays within himself on offense and teams always have to be aware when he rolls to the basket.
