The Miami Heat are always looking to get better and that will be particularly true this summer. It’s never a good idea to bet against Pat Riley when it comes to free agency. The legendary coach will be up to his old tricks.
This is the Heat’s ideal starting five for the 2016-17 season.

Pat Riley has already said that re-signing Hassan Whiteside will be the Heat's top offseason priority. Whiteside received plenty of criticism this season for his defensive lapses but his overall impact on the game outweighs his faults.

It's been reported that Chris Bosh may never play basketball again after suffering multiple blood clot issues over the last two seasons. In a perfect world, Bosh comes back healthy in 2016-17 and ready to roll.

The Heat will chase Kevin Durant like all the other teams with cap space and hope. Durant to Miami would change the entire dynamic of the league much like LeBron James in 2010.

Dwyane Wade will be a free agent again this summer and again he'll go through the motions of how many years and how much money the Heat are willing to agree upon.
