It’s no secret that Kevin Love hasn’t really fit in with the Cleveland Cavaliers since arriving in 2014. The team gave up Andrew Wiggins as part of a package to acquire Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves in hopes of creating a Big Three of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Love to bring Cleveland a championship.
While the Cavaliers have made the NBA Finals in both seasons with Love, it’s been on the heels of James’ greatness and the weakness of the Eastern Conference.
With the Cavaliers’ season on the line in Game 5 last night, Love turned in one of the worst performances of his career as he posted two points, three rebounds and one assist in 33 minutes of action.
There was one particular moment that summed up Love’s tenure with the Cavaliers. As the team headed towards the bench during a timeout, Love attempted to give James a high-five, but the Cavaliers’ star wasn’t having any of it.
With or without a title, it’s impossible to picture these two guys on the same team next season.
