Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio has played at an incredibly high level since teammate Zach LaVine went down for the season with a torn Achilles.
During Minnesota’s showdown with the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday evening, Rubio miraculously drained a shot as he fell to the floor after being fouled by Bucks big man John Henson.

After getting off to an absolutely abysmal start to the 2016-17 NBA season, the Timberwolves (27-38) are now just three games behind the Denver Nuggets (30-35) for the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference.
However, if Rubio and Co. intend on securing a surprise playoff berth, losing to a team like the Bucks that is ridiculously shorthanded isn’t the way to get it done.
