Former shot-blocker extraordinaire Larry Sanders is coming back to the NBA after signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.
After Andrew Bogut broke his leg less than a minute into his Cavs debut, a 15th roster spot opened up that Cleveland needed to fill with another big man.
Before battling anxiety and depression, which also resulted in four violations of the NBA’s drug policy, Sanders averaged 1.8 career blocks per game.
That type of interior presence could be valuable in the Cavs’ defense of their title.
