For years, the Los Angeles Clippers have been considered the second-best NBA team playing in Staples Center.
But the redheaded stepchild to the Los Angeles Lakers is branching out to form its own identity, with the announcement of a new arena accompanying the news that the great Jerry West would leave the Golden State Warriors to join the Clips’ organization as well.
Clippers will announce tomorrow that they are closing in on building a stadium in Inglewood, sources.

And it will be a whole new challenge for West.
Clippers owner Steve Ballmer no doubt played a huge role in making these transformations possible, as his influx of capital into the organization has been vital to rebuilding the team’s image.
And now, West will be a key part in crafting a winning franchise once they relocate to Inglewood.
