The schism between Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid and braggadocious basketball dad LaVar Ball was back in full effect on Wednesday.
As you likely recall, it all started when LaVar gave a rather unusual interview after his son, Lonzo, was selected No. 2 overall in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers.

That led Sixers G/F Ben Simmons to post this tweet.
Crazy pills

Embiid, who does good tweets, replied to Simmons with a zinger about Lonzo.
Please dunk on him so hard that his daddy runs on the court to save him.. https://t.co/cMvt5RYiSQ

Naturally, the Ball’s patriarch wasn’t going to let that slide and responded when asked about Embiid during an interview on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia which you can hear here.
Transcribed by Philly.com:
“When you don’t win, and don’t even make the playoffs, and don’t even stay on the court long enough, that’s the best thing you can do – is tweet and make some stuff,” Ball said. “Ain’t nobody else doing that, because they’re working on their games in the gym. These guys ain’t played a game, [are] always hurt, and [are] at the bottom of the totem pole. So guess what? Get your [rear ends] off the goddamn Tweeter, and get in the gym.”
Fast-forward to Wednesday, and Embiid had some choice words for LaVar during an Instagram live session.
“F–k LaVar Ball” – @JoelEmbiid
Stay tuned, folks!
