The Los Angeles Lakers unveiled Dalton Knecht and Bronny James, their latest draft acquisitions, during a recent press event held in El Segundo, California. The organization is confident that these players are ready to start preparing for the summer league and keep developing within basketball.
Knecht, a guard from Tennessee, was picked by Lakers in the first round of this year’s draft and overall 17th. It was unexpected for them to get his services at that pick and they were glad to see him fall into their hands. With Anthony Davis having taken over his former number 3 jersey, Knecht switched to #4 during his time with the Lakers.
Bronny faced several challenges in his journey towards the NBA draft. After one season at USC he went through an extremely scary bout of congenital heart disease where he suffered from cardiac arrest. He returned months later once he had fully recovered and had been given medical clearance to participate in the upcoming 2024 draft.
