Point Guard Mike Conley Among The Oldest NBA Players
Conley is among dozen oldest players out of approximately four hundred fifty players in NBA. Anthony Edwards, an all-star guard from Timberwolves was just six when Conley made his bow in an NBA game as a Memphis Grizzly against New Orleans Hornets on November 7th, 2007. On average, Minnesota’s list is composed of players who are slightly over twenty-six years old while Gobert Rudy is second oldest but six years younger than him.
To Conley, the Game 4 win was his greatest in the NBA career because it was the first time he had ever won an All-Star game of 2021 during a conference final. He has played 1011 regular season games and 91 playoff games in the NBA. As a 26-year-old, he only played in one other conference final with young Grizzlies team back in 2013.
Conley is in his second year of a two-year, $20.7 million contract. Typically, towards the end of their contracts, aged NBA players are often used as attractive trade baits because they won’t be coming back again to the team. The Timberwolves cannot afford to lose a player with such great qualities like being an elder statesman who is humble; he is also a floor general and lastly, he is a calm and cool captain in any storm.
