Social media can at times be an evil and diabolical weapon of destruction. Folks wander the mean streets of Twitter often looking to condescend or poke fun at others for their perceived inability to have an actual ability. Still, it can be used as a great source for news and information. For media members it also sometimes takes the “sources” definition to a whole new meaning.
According to sources, Shane Larkin is going to make his decision about whether he plans to return to the Miami Hurricanes on Sunday. The source? Well, of course, it is Mr. Larkin himself.
Don’t listen to whoever put the rumor out that I declared. It isn’t true. I will make an announcement Sunday at 6 about my future.

That was Larkin taking to the mean streets of Twitter after one of us insatiable media members announced that he was passing on two more years of eligibility and would be taking his talents to the highest level of basketball. For Larkin, however, he was having none of that.
Larkin would likely be a borderline first-round selection if he was to declare early entry. Yet, Larkin could undoubtedly benefit from one more year of college. As with all of these youngsters making a decision as big as this, there is no wrong choice. At the end of the day it is Larkin who has to decide what is best for him.
The announcement is coming on Sunday at 6 p.m. ET. Will the wonderful weather of Miami keep him for another year or will the realm of millions lure him away?
