The Connecticut Huskies will get a big addition to the backcourt, with George Washington guard Lasan Kromah transferring to the team, according to CBSSports.com.
Connecticut will already have a deadly backcourt, considering that Ryan Boatright and Shabazz Napier will still be on the team. Both players were first and second on the team when it came to scoring.
Kromah will be a senior and will get to play right away. This past season, he put up 10.1 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game in just 24.5 minutes per game. He has averaged 10 or more points in every year in college basketball so far.
Kromah is a 6’5” guard and he could really rack up the rebounds if he gets more playing time with the Huskies. Although he will definitely not be the No. 1 option on the team, he could still put up double digits in points and be a serious threat on the Huskies. Considering that he will be playing in his final year, he should get a good amount of playing time right off the bat.
He did only make 22 percent of his threes last season, which is not a great statistic whether if you are a point guard or shooting guard. However, he did only pull the trigger 54 times from behind the arc. Still, that is a statistic that Connecticut would like to see him get better at–I would imagine.
Connecticut is going to have a lot of fire power on its team in the 2013-14 college basketball season and Kromah is the latest weapon for the Huskies.
