On Friday morning, the Maryland Terrapins got a big boost moving forward with the 2014 commitment of 6-foot-4 shooting guard, Dion Wiley.
Multiple news outlets first reported the news of Wiley’s commitment and many believe that he will sign early with the Terrapins this upcoming November. Wiley is a true talent and a big-time back court addition for head coach Mark Turgeon and the Maryland program moving forward. Trugeon has done a great job on the recruiting trail as the Terrapins as a whole look to continue remodeling their program to get back within that competitive edge in the upper half of the ACC.

Wiley becomes the second verbal commitment for Maryland from the class of 2014, as the star guard will join the likes of Romelo Trimble — who is also considered to be a top 100 prospect. The list of offers and interest ran deep for Wiley, who is an original native of Oxon Hill, Maryland. He is considered a top 50 recruit by many of the top recruiting outlets, coming in at No. 22 overall by ESPN and No. 49 by Rivals.
It’s a great sign to see Turgeon landing one of the top talents from within the state of Maryland. Wiley will be a big addition when he hits the hardwood in College Park prior to the start of the 2014-15 season.
Wiley currently attends Potomac High School (MD) and he has spent his time on the AAU circuit running with Team Takeover.
