Tony Snell may no longer be on the New Mexico Lobos, but Kendall Williams is. Williams had a great season last year and he could be crazy good in the 2013-14 college basketball season.
Williams averaged a respectable 13.3 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game and 4.9 assists per game last season. He also shot 40.6 percent from the field and 34.8 percent from behind the arc.

However, the potential for this player is undeniable.
Take the road game against Colorado State last season for instance. The Rams were one of the toughest teams to beat on their home court, yet Williams managed to go absolutely off for 46 points. Who scores 46 points in college basketball? That performance was one of the best out of any college hoops player on the entire season. It helps when a player makes 10 threes in one game.
There is no way that Williams will do that on a nightly basis in the upcoming season, but that performance just shows how good he can be if he plays at his best.
The Lobos may have a new coach, but they will still easily be the best team in the MWC and could make some noise in the NCAA tournament. Williams is a big reason for that and he could really go off in his senior year.
His name is one that everyone should pay attention to. Sure, players like Mitch McGary and Andrew Wiggins may be more appealing, but Williams will be one of the best players in the nation all season long.
