There's no question that the Kentucky Wildcats are the best team in college basketball right now. Fresh off their victory over in-state rival Louisville, they appear to be unbeatable. Well, I'm here to tell you that they are, and here are five reasons why.

It's hard to imagine any team in the SEC beating Kentucky. Their toughest game will be at Florida, but even then, the Gators are having a down year. They should go through conference play unscathed.

Karl Towns is just one of many freshmen on the squad who are having a direct impact on the Wildcats' success so far this season. Trey Lyles, Devin Booker and Tyler Ulis all have had significant performances early on in the season. The game doesn't look too fast for them.

Kentucky is the deepest team in college basketball. They have 12 players who can start on any roster in Division 1. They have so much depth that it allows John Calipari to get creative with his subs in order to find the best combinations and keep them all fresh for the long haul.

2. Experience

Unlike in past years, the Wildcats have experience. Most of the team that went to the Final Four last year has returned, and they know what it takes to get back. Pair that with the aforementioned talented freshmen, and this team could be an all-time great.

Kentucky proved on Saturday that they can score less than 60 points and still win a ball game. That's because they have the best defense in Division 1. They hound the ball-handler, and if by some chance the opposition does get the rim, they are treated by a variety of shot blockers. It's truly scary how good this team can be.
