Joe Lunardi currently has more teams from the Big 12 getting into the March Madness tournament than any other conference. There’s still a lot of basketball left, but Kansas, West Virginia, Iowa State, Baylor and Texas appear to be locks right now. That said, which Big 12 teams are on bubble watch?

The Red Raiders are coming off a really good win over Iowa State. But they have struggled on the road and in the Big 12. They have also lost eight of their last 10. If the tournament began today, there is no way Texas Tech would get into the Big Dance. However, eight of its 11 remaining games are against ranked opponents. If the Red Raiders put some quality wins together down the stretch, maybe they can sneak into the tournament.

TCU has a decent record and is sitting prettier than Texas Tech, but the Horned Frogs are on the outside looking in right now. Thankfully for them, the tournament field is far from being decided right now. They have lost five of their last six, but with eight of their last 12 games coming against currently ranked teams, they could possibly play their way into the tournament.

They have good wins over Texas, Baylor and Tulsa, but have also lost four of their last seven games. They have struggled on the road and if the tournament began today, the Cowboys may be on the outside looking in. But their next four games, and seven of their last 10, are against currently ranked teams. Oklahoma State needs to get some quality wins against those ranked teams.

After looking less than great in non-conference play and losing to Oklahoma State to start play in the Big 12, the Wildcats have won five of their last seven games. They would probably get in right now and with eight of their last 10 games being against currently ranked teams, they have plenty of opportunities to prove themselves.

The Sooners have quality wins against Butler, Baylor, Texas, Oklahoma State and Tulsa, and a bad loss to Creighton. They seemed destined to dance in March, but then they lost four of their last five games. The Sooners look like a legit team, and they have played some quality teams recently, so they will probably end up dancing come March. However, going 1-4 in a five-game stretch means the Sooners have some work to do in Feb.
