The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have lost two of their last three games, including an upset at the hands of the Pittsburgh Panthers and a 30-point loss to the Duke Blue Devils. Notre Dame, who currently sit at second in the ACC just one place behind the Virginia Cavaliers, desperately need to get their feet back under them as they try and navigate their rockiest stretch of the season so far.

The Fighting Irish will have that opportunity, as they travel to Littlejohn Coliseum to face the Clemson Tigers on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

At 14-9, the Tigers are firmly on the outside looking into the 2015 NCAA Tournament. Clemson lacks the in-conference wins necessary to jump into the bubble discussion, but they still face Duke and Notre Dame twice before the season ends. With prior wins over tournament teams like the Arkansas Razorbacks and LSU Tigers, Clemson just needs to avoid losses to bad teams and win one of these matchups against big-name teams if they are to sneak into the Big Dance.

Unfortunately for the Tigers, they are catching Notre Dame at absolutely the worst time. The Fighting Irish are coming off their most disappointing loss of the season and should bounce back strongly. Expect Notre Dame to be a little nervous at first, afraid to lose again away from home, but dominate the second half. Clemson is a good team, but they don’t have the quality needed to knock off a rebounding Notre Dame squad.

Prediction: Notre Dame 67, Clemson 58
