The Indiana Hoosiers might not be getting national title contender credit, but they are still one of the hottest teams in the country. They will take their 12-game winning streak on the road against the Wisconsin Badgers next.
Wisconsin might be having a nightmare-like season, but it has managed to win two contests in a row. One of those battles came against the Michigan State Spartans.
The Hoosiers are now 17-3 on the year while the Badgers are 11-9. Indiana is just one of two teams with a perfect record in Big Ten play (7-0). Meanwhile, Wisconsin is 3-4 in conference play. Clearly, the losses of Frank Kaminsky, Sam Dekker and head coach Bo Ryan have been very devastating to this team. Therefore, it will be up to Nigel Hayes and Bronson Koenig in this game.
Indiana has one of the best players in the country on its team in Yogi Ferrell. He might not always get the credit he deserves, but he continues to lead his team to victory (hence the 12 wins in a row).
Indiana enters this clash averaging 86.1 points per game. It is allowing 67.9 PPG. Wisconsin comes in putting up 68.8 PPG and is giving up 64.6 PPG.
The Badgers showed that they still have some left in the tank with a victory over Michigan State, and it certainly doesn’t hurt that they will be playing at home in this one, but Ferrell & Co. are the real deal. And by real deal, I mean they could end up winning a Big Ten title this season.
PREDICTION: Hoosiers 78, Badgers 67
