The University of Michigan is already building a stellar 2014 recruiting class, having four 4-star and one 3-star recruits. Now it appears that they have the possibility of drastically improving the class by adding 5-star athlete, Jabrill Peppers.
Via Rivals.com, Peppers states about his Apr. 3 visit to Ann Arbor, “I loved it. It was a great, great first impression. I grew up a Michigan fan so that certainly helps the cause. I had a lot of fun. It was more than what I expected. I had good expectations for the visit but they definitely exceeded them.”
Peppers, who will plans to play defensive back at the next level, listed Michigan with Ohio State, Louisiana State, Alabama, Stanford and Notre Dame as his possible targets.
Peppers also told Rivals that the LSU Tigerscould be gaining ground in his recruitment, “LSU fits right in with everyone else. I don’t know much about them but, after doing some research, I do know they are ‘DB U.’ They’re in the SEC and in Louisiana they have some great football.”
Peppers previously had Ohio State and Stanford listed as his top two back in February, but it could potentially now be the two Big Ten arch rivals. ”Now I don’t even know what to expect anymore,” explained Peppers. “Michigan just completely exceeded my expectations. I’m just going to have to see how Michigan and Ohio State pair up and it should be a great experience but Michigan was probably one of the best visits I’ve been on without a doubt. Everything felt right.”
I wouldn’t expect Peppers to make any quick decisions on committing to any schools. Being the number one ranked athlete, expect the high-schooler to take full advantage of seeing all his prospective destinations. He has a boat load of offers, but these statements about the Wolverines should excite any Michigan fan.
