SEC Game Prognostications For This Week: Dead On Predictions
LSU will Swat the Canines of Mississippi State
LSU felt they let things slip away last week in the dog fight in Athens against Georgia. The offensive arsenal unleashed by LSU was good enough to win just about every game you will play, but the problem was both the Tiger and Georgia defense were nowhere near up to the task of stopping the offensive onslaughts of both quarterbacks. Zach Mettenberger and Aaron Murray both saw their stocks rise last week in a primetime clash between legitimate Top 5 programs.
The Tigers needed one stop and couldn’t close the deal. They allowed the home standing Bulldogs to get the last bite in for the victory. They have to let that go this week and play a bunch of Bulldogs from Mississippi State that aren’t even the same species as those Georgia Dogs. The Tigers will get some much needed therapy and properly throttle these bunch of canines and how. Mississippi State will have no answers for the air and ground assault. The Tiger defense will find redemption for the time being in the Bulldog offense and set about about making things right after they were lit up like the Fourth of July last weekend. I look for a score or two from the Tiger defense in this one! Mississippi State – well – they are Mississippi State and there will be no joy in Starkville as the Bulldogs fall hard.

Georgia Bites Volunteers
Georgia survived a war last week with LSU. The Bulldogs have come out looking in great shape for the SEC East Crown with a shot at a BCS title if they can keep from slipping up the rest of the way. Tennessee will be playing at home, but they won’t be singing Rocky Top that often as this will be little more than a big orange speed bump as the Volunteers simply don’t have the man power nor the artillery to play with a pack of Dogs who suddenly are seeing BCS gold in their future. Davy Crockett couldn’t even help here folks.

War Eagles to Soar Over Ole Miss
After spit roasting Bevo in Texas, Ole Miss thought they were ready for primetime last week. Nick Saban and a bunch of red elephants promptly stepped on them in Tuscaloosa and left the Rebels battered, bruised and baffled. Good news is Auburn isn’t as good as Alabama.
Bad news is the War Eagle is playing much better football and catching the Rebels coming off Alabama is just the medicine to keep the War Eagle flying high. Look for the Gus Bus and Auburn to prevail at home in a close one.
Auburn 28-Ole Miss 27
Ha-Ha No More: Alabama blitzes Georgia State
The Ha-Ha less Alabama Crimson Tide have a relatively easy schedule for the rest of the month. Georgia State will have zero answers and will be collecting a nice paycheck for the trip to Tuscaloosa. This won’t be very funny.
Alabama 54-Georgia State 7
Fine Swine Dining in the Swamp
The Gators' injuries and suspensions have put somewhat of a damper on the season thus far. The offense is bad, but the Gators have the best run defense in the country so far. This won’t bode well for the Hogs who like to play a little smash mouth with the run game. There will be plenty of smash mouth going on, but it will be coming from the Swamp Lizards in the swamp. They feast on pork this weekend.
It's not Hoops: Kentucky Mildcats Lose to Old Ball Coach
The Old Ball Coach returns his quarterback this week against a Kentucky squad that would just as soon be in Rupp Arena watching a basketball game. Not much to say in this one as the Gamecocks scratch out the Wildcats.
South Carolina 45-Kentucky 10
Vanderbilt Brings Missouri Back to Reality
Missouri is one of two undefeated teams left in the SEC, but they have played no one of any substance. Sort of fitting that Vanderbilt will knock them back to reality.
