LSU Proving To Be Most Disappointing Team After Blowout Loss vs. Auburn
The LSU Tigers entered the 2014 season by being ranked as high as No. 12. Unfortunately for the Tigers, they are proving to be the most disappointing team in college football.
With its most recent loss to the Auburn Tigers, LSU has now lost two out of three games. Now, I understand that Auburn made the championship last year, and is currently one of the best teams in the country, but 41 to 7? Really? You’re telling me the Tigers of LSU are that bad?
The final score may have said 34-29 in the Mississippi State Bulldogs’ favor, but LSU needed 19 points in the fourth quarter to get it that close. For what it’s worth, the Tigers did fight back in that game, and they also beat Wisconsin in Week 1.
Les Miles’ team has a bunch of talent. There is no doubt about that. But, it is evident that the turnover that this team faced was too big to overcome, at least early on in the 2014 season.
Although LSU had its fair share of question marks entering the season, a 4-2 start is pretty bad.
LSU will take on a pesky Florida team next. It also still has to play teams like Ole Miss, Alabama and Texas A&M. With that said, I am giving the Tigers a zero percent chance of winning the rest of their games.
LSU probably won’t completely fall off the face of the earth by not making a bowl game or anything like that, but it is nowhere near being a playoff contender. And for that — not to mention, a 4-2 start where LSU looked horrible in two contests — the Tigers are arguably the most disappointing team in college football.
