A double-reverse, flea-flicker pass. You practice it all year, waiting to unleash it on of your opponents when they least expect it. A wide receiver streaks downfield, wide open as a result of the secondary being so badly fooled they don’t know what to do with themselves.
That’s how the play is drawn up and dreamed in the heads of the coaching staff. This dream trick play quickly turned into a nightmare for the Syracuse football team. Conceiving the trick play is the first step, but execution is the only step that matters in the end. Check out this hilariously sad disaster of a play.
