Week 13 of the College Football season didn't feature many marquee matchups, but several games were crucial in determining which teams are sill contenders. Several teams failed to capitalize on golden opportunities yesterday, and were the biggest losers from Week 13.

A week after upsetting Duke, Virginia Tech laid an egg against Wake Forest. The Hokies lost in double-overtime 6-3 and are still a win away from bowl eligibility. Frank Beamer's job could be in jeopardy if they fail to defeat Virginia next week.

Needing a win to become bowl-eligible, Brady Hoke's Michigan Wolverines gave up 14 points to Maryland in the fourth quarter, losing 23-16. The only way that Michigan and Hoke can extend their season is to upset Ohio State on the road.

Utah rarely gets shellacked at home, but against Arizona, the Utes were run out of their own building. In a 42-10 defeat, the Utes gave up 21 fourth-quarter points, allowed 530 yards of total offense, and committed four turnovers.

The Cornhuskers kept their four-loss season streak alive yesterday with a 28-24 defeat to Minnesota. After holding a 21-7 halftime lead, Nebraska was outscored 21-3 in the second half and the calls for Bo Pellini's job will get louder and louder.

Ole Miss was in control of its own destiny yesterday against Arkansas, and fell flat, losing 30-0. Bo Wallace became "Bad Bo", and the Rebels were dominated from the opening whistle. The Rebels were a long-shot to even get back in the discussion, but getting shut out by an unranked opponent will drop them significantly in the standings.
