Mississippi State had one of their best seasons in 2014 and the key cog from that team announced that he will return for his senior season in 2015. Quarterback Dak Prescott said that he will remain in Starkville for his final season, which is a huge boost for the Bulldogs.

Prescott was the unquestioned leader for Mississippi State as he orchestrated one of the most potent offenses in the country. With Prescott at the helm, the Bulldogs ranked eighth in the nation in total offense with 513.8 yards per game and ranked 17th in points per game with 36.9.
Prescott, who has drawn comparisons to Tim Tebow, was sensational in passing for 3,449 yards and 27 touchdowns, while rushing for 986 yards and 14 touchdowns. Prescott and the Bulldogs began the season undefeated (9-0) and held the No. 1 ranking in the country for five weeks. However, Mississippi State dropped three of their last four games, but it was still a breakout campaign for the program.
Prescott was Dan Mullen‘s most important recruit in getting him to return for his senior season. The Bulldogs already lost a ton of talent from the 2014 team as Mississippi State returns only seven starters in 2015, but their leader will be back at the helm. Prescott will be expected to do even more for the Bulldogs if they want to repeat their success from 2014 as his running mate in the backfield, Josh Robinson, has already declared for the NFL Draft.
Mississippi State may have to rebuild on both sides of the ball in 2015, but Mullen can feel confident about the offense with Prescott looking to take the Bulldogs to even greater heights.
