Shoutout to my zoologist friends, today I learned that not all frog skin is green. According to Yahoo! Sports and via Heidi Burgett, the TCU Horned Frogs‘ football team has unveiled two new “frog-skin” jerseys in advance of the 2015 football season.

Continuing with the aesthetic experiment that’s become college football, TCU will briefly abandon wholesale purple for a foray into randomly stratified arrays of purple and gray. These uniforms are intended to project a more natural horned-frog motif and communicate a more fearless approach from the program. Objectively, it appears to be working. Subjectively, it’s up to the wrath of the blogs.
