There is room for more than one checkered endzone in the SEC, apparently, but fans of the Tennessee Volunteers are not happy that their signature look is being copied.
On Wednesday, the Kentucky Wildcats unveiled their newly designed football field that features blue checkered endzones and the revamped logo at the 50-yard line.
Once the photos became public, Tennessee fans held no punches and instantly began saying they were being copied.

Then there were others who were just rude.
@UKAthletics y’all have lost 15 straight games with checkerboard endzones. Sure this is a good idea?

@whiskey_girl33 @ShawnFinchum @craigman20 @UKAthletics @UTVolunteers checkerboards at UK? That’s almost as bad as Vandy being in the SEC.

There is some good news to come out of all of this. Now, in 2015, we will get to see the first SEC Battle Of The Endzones rivalry.
