Part of being a collegiate athlete is sacrificing your free time to put in the work that will allow you to excel on the playing field. For football players and other athletes around the nation, that means some early morning practices over the summer.
On Friday morning, the Tennessee Volunteers football team took to Twitter to show just what happens after those early morning workouts.
The Vols had to participate in a 6:00 a.m. workout to prepare for the upcoming season. When that session was over, offensive lineman Thomas Edwards shared a photo of what his team looks like once they hit the showers.
Spoiler alert: they are exhausted and they pass out.

While the workouts are grueling, the Vols will hope that their hard work pays off this season as they attempt to build off of last season’s 7-6 record.
