Line: TCU (-37)
The No. 3 TCU Horned Frogs started the season ranked No. 2 in the country before dropping one spot after an unimpressive 23-17 victory over Minnesota in Week 1. After a 70-7 win over Stephen F. Austin in Week 2, it seems as if TCU has finally found its groove on offense, and is ready to continue putting up big numbers. The Horned Frogs are finally starting to look like the explosive offense that we saw in 2014.
The SMU Mustangs had an impressive first-half performance against No. 4 Baylor in their season opener, before the Bears got the offense rolling in the fourth quarter and eventually won 56-21. In Week 2, SMU beat a North Texas team 31-13, and the same North Texas team that beat the Mustangs 43-6 just one year ago. Through the first two weeks of the season, SMU has looked like a completely different team in 2015 with major improvements at every position on the field.
Although SMU looks like a different team in 2015, the TCU Horned Frogs are ready for another big game on offense. The Mustangs will play on the road for the first time this season, and TCU has too many threats on offense for the Mustangs to defend.
Prediction: TCU 56, SMU 17
