TV Schedule: Thursday, Oct. 15, 10:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
Stadium: Stanford Stadium
Line: Stanford (-6)
The winner of this Pac-12 showdown will still have a shot at making the College Football Playoff. The loser will be eliminated from that entire picture. So, who’s ready for some Pac-12 football this Thursday?
The quarterback battle: Josh Rosen vs. Kevin Hogan.
The bottom line: Whoever wins that battle will win the game … or that’s at least what I am predicting.

Both teams are coming off bye weeks, and one could certainly say the UCLA Bruins needed one. After all, they lost by 15 points against the Arizona State Sun Devils in their previous game (life in the Pac-12 is rough).
The Stanford Cardinal won by the score of 55-17 in their last game.
Last season’s contest: Stanford knocked off UCLA, 31-10.
Although this battle should be much closer in 2015, the same outcome will occur, which is the Cardinal coming out on top.
The main reason: Christian McCaffrey is going to be unstoppable. It also helps that Stanford has a Heisman contender in Hogan and will get this one at home.
Who knows if the Cardinal will actually make a run at the playoff (they have to win the conference), but taking down UCLA will be step No. 1 — well, starting right now.
PREDICTION: Bruins 21, Cardinal 28
