Every sports team has its fair share of fans that take their fandom a little too far. So when Michigan punter Blake O’Neill made a huge mistake (you can watch the play here) last night to cost the Wolverines the win against rival Michigan State on the final play of the game, you just knew those aforementioned “fans” would show themselves.
Unfortunately, the absolutely worst came out after what can only be described as the worst possible outcome for O’Neill and Michigan.
@blakewoneill kill yourself you just cost us the game and any chance at a national title go back to austrailia and play soccer you bum!!

Quit playing football @blakewoneill — Mitch (@rudyswallows) October 17, 2015
There were more, but many have since been deleted — likely due to pure shame.
Luckily, life goes on and O’Neill will continue to be an exceptional punter for the Wolverines. Mistakes happen, and even the Michigan coaching staff knows that.
We stand united by our motto The team, The team, The team. No one play defines us but it certainly fuels us! We believe! We own it. Move on!
