The Wisconsin Badgers entered the 2015 college football season with some questions. They lost the amazing Melvin Gordon, after all. Still, the Badgers entered the season with plenty of hype and were expected to compete for a Big 10 title.
While a College Football Playoff destiny is clearly not in the cards (two losses already), the Badgers only have one conference loss. Translation: They can still catch the Iowa Hawkeyes and win the Big 10 West.
I suppose you could say the same thing about the Illinois Fighting Illini, who also only have one Big 10 loss.

Wisconsin rides a two-game winning streak into this one while Illinois dropped its last battle.
Here’s the bottom line: The loser of this showdown (if you will) will basically be eliminated when it comes to making the Big 10 title game. Well, unless if Iowa’s season goes completely downhill. Considering the Hawkeyes are still undefeated and actually look like a playoff contender, I don’t see that one happening.
I’m going with the Badgers to win this game and to also stay alive in the conference title race. However, even with a victory in this battle, Wisconsin has to hope for the Hawkeyes to go down a couple of times since Iowa has already knocked off the Badgers in 2015.
Nonetheless, this should be an entertaining elimination game.
PREDICTION: Badgers 24, Fighting Illini 17
