TV Schedule: Saturday, Nov. 7, 12:00 p.m. ET, ABC
Stadium: Heinz Field
Line: Notre Dame (-7.5)
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish could have lost all hope with a loss in Week 9. They took on a pesky Temple Owls team and barely came out alive. With a loss, Notre Dame would have had to wait another year to try and compete for a spot in the College Football Playoff. At the same time, style points are in nowadays, and it will be interesting to see if the CFP committee awards the Fighting Irish for knocking off a ranked opponent last week, or punishes it for not blowing out a non-powerhouse.
All of that aside, Notre Dame will play the Pittsburgh Panthers in Week 10. Unfortunately for Pittsburgh, it dropped its first ACC game of the year against North Carolina in Week 9. It was the Panthers’ second loss of the season, and here are two quick takeaways from the loss: (1) Pittsburgh has no shot at the playoff now. (2) It could still sneak into the ACC title game.

After all, the Tar Heels only have a one-game lead over Pittsburgh in the ACC Coastal Division. I would probably give the Panthers a zero percent chance to knock off either the Clemson Tigers or Florida State Seminoles in the title game, but making the title game is making the title game.
Notre Dame is on a mission to end 2015 with just one loss. If that is in fact the case, the CFP committee will have some very tough decisions to make. In terms of this game, QB DeShone Kizer & Co. have this one in the bag.
PREDICTION: Fighting Irish 27, Panthers 16
