The TCU Horned Frogs and Trevone Boykin could have used a victory against the undefeated Oklahoma State Cowboys. With a victory, TCU would have moved up the College Football Playoff rankings and Boykin would have possibly gained on Leonard Fournette in the Heisman race.
Instead, TCU lost in blowout fashion.

Now, the Horned Frogs need a miracle to make the playoff, and Boykin’s Heisman hopes could be a thing of the past.
Although every year is different, and TCU still has some tough competition left on the schedule, it’s hard to forget how hard the Horned Frogs were snubbed last season. They, of course, only had one loss on the year, missed out on the playoff and then blew out the Ole Miss Rebels during bowl season.
In the first CFP rankings for this year, TCU came in at No. 8 despite other rankings showing more love for them (the Coaches Poll had them at No. 3).
As for that Heisman race for Boykin, it is no mystery that Fournette is leading the pack. With another big performance for the LSU Tiger tonight, he could basically lock up the hardware.
TCU still has to take on the Baylor Bears and Oklahoma Sooners, so things could get interesting down the stretch, but this squad needs a lot of help from other teams going forward. You know, if the Horned Frogs plan on making the playoff.
