Let’s play ball!
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Boston College Eagles will battle it out in Week 12 at Fenway Park. Although the thought of the game being played at Fenway is pretty awesome, don’t expect the actual game to be as great … unless you are a Notre Dame fan.
Notre Dame enters this contest on a five-game winning streak. However, it also plays the Stanford Cardinal to close out the regular season (basically its conference title game since it doesn’t technically have one), so this week’s matchup could be considered a trap game.

Boston College has lost six games in a row and has no ACC wins on the season. When you take that into consideration, a possible trap game goes out the window.
As bad as the Eagles have been this season in the record department, it is important to note how stingy their defense has been. Allowing only 14.4 points per game, Boston College is ranked third in the county in points against. Unfortunately, the offense hasn’t really held up its end of the deal, as the Eagles are only averaging 21 points per game.
The Fighting Irish have been playing solid football ever since their loss to the Clemson Tigers (only a two-point loss). Although ranked teams (especially title contenders) are dropping on a weekly basis, expecting a 3-7 Boston College team to pull off the upset against a 9-1 Notre Dame team seems a bit absurd.
The Fighting Irish just need to get past this game and the showdown with Stanford, and then they could be playing in the College Football Playoff.
PREDICTION: Eagles 10, Fighting Irish 28
