TV Schedule: Saturday, Dec. 5, 6:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2
Stadium: Qualcomm Stadium
Line: San Diego State (-6)
Entering this conference championship game, there is one thing that seems a bit off, and that is the fact that the Boise State Broncos aren’t on top of the MWC, and they won’t have a shot at a major bowl as a result. Instead, the Air Force Falcons and San Diego State Aztecs will battle it out for the conference title.
Unfortunately, neither team has a chance at the New Year’s Six, but being at the top of the MWC mountain would be one heck of a consolation prize.

The Falcons enter this clash with an 8-4 record overall and 6-2 record in the Mountain West. San Diego enters with a 9-3 overall record and 8-0 conference record.
It’s important to note that the Falcons challenged themselves outside of conference play by taking on the Michigan State Spartans and Navy Midshipmen. Note: They unfortunately lost both contests. San Diego State had some challenges along the way as well, as it took on the California Golden Bears and Penn State Nittany Lions (lost both).
Two things to watch out for in this contest: Air Force’s option and the Aztecs’ stingy defense (allowing 16.6 PPG).
This conference championship might not have as much meaning as some of the other ones going down today since there are zero College Football Playoff implications, but don’t let that fool you — it should still be a very entertaining ride.
PREDICTION: Falcons 20, Aztecs 27
