TV Schedule: Wednesday, Dec. 30, 9:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
Stadium: Qualcomm Stadium
Line: USC (-3)
The USC Trojans were expected to compete for the College Football Playoff this season. However, they ended up with an 8-5 record instead. Putting that all behind them, the Trojans will take on the Wisconsin Badgers in the Holiday Bowl.
Wisconsin could have made some serious noise early on in the year by knocking off the Alabama Crimson Tide. Instead, the Badgers dropped that game and never really received a whole lot of buzz after that. Regardless, Wisconsin enters bowl season with a 9-3 record.

The Trojans had a brutal schedule, which is a big reason why they lost so many games. Keep these two things in mind, though: They lost their head coach during the season, and they still managed to make the Pac-12 championship game — which they lost.
USC’s biggest wins on the season: Utah Utes, UCLA Bruins.
Wisconsin’s biggest win on the season: Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Needless to say, the Trojans were challenged over and over again. Meanwhile, the Badgers didn’t really have notable wins, and they managed to dodge Big Ten powerhouses. You know, like Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State. Of course, they did take on Alabama, Iowa and Northwestern, but lost all three contests.
Although Cody Kessler & Co. can make it rain on any team in college football, don’t forget that Wisconsin is only giving up 13.1 points per game (ranked No. 1 in the nation). In comparison, USC is allowing 25.9 PPG.
As is the case with most matchups during bowl season, this clash is basically a coin toss.
PREDICTION: Trojans 24, Badgers 21
