TV Schedule: Saturday, Dec. 19, 6:00 p.m. ET, CBSSN
Stadium: Florida Citrus Bowl
Line: San Jose State (-2.5)
The Cure Bowl might not feature two powerhouses in college football, but it is still football being played during the best time of the year (bowl season, that is).
The San Jose State Spartans enter bowl season with a losing record (5-7), if you can believe that. They also enter the Cure Bowl on a one-game losing streak. Meanwhile, the Georgia State Panthers aren’t much better at 6-6. That said, they do enter this clash with quite a bit of momentum, as they have won their last four games in a row (now that’s how you become bowl eligible).

Although they lost the contest, it is interesting to note that the Panthers did take on the Oregon Ducks earlier in the year. Needless to say, that was their toughest test of 2015. Playing in the MWC, the Spartans had a number of tests, and they also took on the Auburn Tigers — but unfortunately lost.
Neither team brings an elite defense to the table, but Georgia State does have one of the better passing games in the, well, game. It is averaging 346.6 passing yards per contest (ranked No. 8 in college football). In comparison, the Spartans are averaging 232.8 passing yards per game.
Two players fans must be on the lookout for: San Jose State RB Tyler Ervin and Georgia State QB Nick Arbuckle.
Nonetheless, this game should play out as a close battle.
In the end, the Panthers are on fire, and Arbuckle is capable of making it rain yards and TDs.
PREDICTION: Spartans 24, Panthers 30
