The Georgia Bulldogs finished the 2015 college football season with a 9-3 record. If they had Nick Chubb the entire season, who knows how good this team would have been in 2015. After all, it still finished the year on a four-game winning streak. The Bulldogs’ only losses came against the Florida Gators, Alabama Crimson Tide and Tennessee Volunteers. Florida and Alabama, of course, made the SEC title game. Yeah, injuries can be evil beasts.
Nonetheless, Georgia will take on the Penn State Nittany Lions in the Taxslayer Bowl.
Penn State finished off the regular season with a 7-5 record. To put it lightly, things went downhill in the last few games of 2015. The Nittany Lions ended up losing three straight to close out the season. Their losses came against the Temple Owls, Ohio State Buckeyes, Northwestern Wildcats, Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans.

Neither team is dominant on the offensive side of the ball, which means we could be in store for a low-scorer. Not to mention, Penn State is only giving up 21.7 PPG, while Georgia is only allowing 16.9 PPG.
Although the Bulldogs are the clear favorites coming in, it remains a mystery how they will do with a new head coach making the calls.
In upset fashion, I am predicting the Nittany Lions to come out on top. If Christian Hackenberg actually plays like an NFL QB (he will be playing on Sundays in the near future), Penn State could easily be victorious during bowl season. If not, then Sony Michel and Georgia might do what everyone is expecting them to do — win.
PREDICTION: Nittany Lions 28, Bulldogs 20
