TV Schedule: Saturday, Dec. 26, 9:15 p.m. ET, ESPN
Stadium: Levi’s Stadium
Line: UCLA (-6.5)
The UCLA Bruins are the favorites entering the Foster Farms Bowl — there is no doubt about it.
Not only do they hold an 8-4 record, while the Nebraska Cornhuskers own a 5-7 record, but they also have the line entering this contest. On top of that, Nebraska only won three games in the Big Ten in 2015. In comparison, the Bruins won five games in the Pac-12. That said, the Big Ten has a participant in the College Football Playoff, and the Pac-12 does not. Take that one as you will.
READ: 15 Bold Predictions For Bowl Season
Here’s why an upset could actually go down: College football has been very unpredictable in 2015, anything can happen in bowl season and Nebraska — although this is just a guess — might be a little more excited about making this bowl than UCLA.
UCLA’s biggest wins on the season: BYU and Utah. For all it’s worth, the Bruins did beat four ranked opponents, at the time, on the year.
Nebraska’s biggest win on the season: Michigan State. That victory against the Spartans was huge for a couple of reasons. (1) It proves the Cornhuskers are capable of knocking off any team in the country despite the losing record, and (2) that was Michigan State’s only loss.
Stopping Josh Rosen & Co. won’t be an easy feat. As stated before, the Cornhuskers, on a perfect day, can beat the best of the best.
Who’s down for some upset action? Call it a hunch, if you will.
PREDICTION: UCLA 35, Nebraska 38
