Since Jim Harbaugh took over the Michigan head coaching job, the rivalry with Ohio State has been taken to another level. The Wolverines won 10 games in their first season under Harbaugh, and despite the 42-13 loss to the Buckeyes in 2015, things have gotten exciting again between the two schools.
On Tuesday, Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith took a not-so-subtle shot at Harbaugh and the Wolverines for holding spring practices in Florida.
Ohio State AD Gene Smith on holding spring practice in Florida: “If we were jump starting our program, I’d probably try to do that too.”

Obviously, when you’re the head coach at Michigan, and the athletic director at Ohio State makes a comment about the way you do things, it doesn’t take long for said comment to get back to you. In response, Harbaugh took an early lead for Tweet of the Year in college football.
Good to see Director Smith being relevant again after the tattoo fiasco. Welcome back!

For those that don’t understand the joke, Smith was at the center of the incident when Terrelle Pryor and four other Buckeyes were selling memorabilia for tattoos and cash back in 2010.
This rivalry is going to be legendary for years to come.
