The New Jersey Nets’ injured big man Brook Lopez gave us some hope this past week. Lopez began putting up shots as he returns from breaking his foot. It is believed that Lopez should return somewhere in-between his 6-8 week timetable. If so he will return February 10 to play against the Detroit Pistons at the Palace at Auburn Hills.
Lopez will hope to bring more scoring and rebounding to a team that 91 points per game and about 39 rebounds per game which are both in the lower half of the NBA ranks this season. The Nets are missing him as they are continuing on with a 3-10 record.
