The Giants just finished one of the most embarrassing games I’ve ever seen. This game couldn’t have gone much worse, and the Giants actually had a chance to win the game late in the fourth quarter.

With just over a minute to play Eli Manning tried to hit Victor Cruz over the middle, but he slipped and was unable to corral the ball, which fell into the fortunate hands of Brandon Bowen who scampered 94 yards for the touchdown.

Five turnovers, 20 fourth quarter points allowed, a safety, dropped interceptions, terrible run defense, terrible pass defense, dumb penalties, mental mistakes.

This game had it all. Hey guess what? If the Giants didn’t allow the safety, they would have been down by two and could have kicked a field goal for the win. If that were the case, no way Eli is throwing it on 1st and goal from the 10.

Most of today’s game was embarrassing to watch. Case in point, the touchdown to give the Seahawks the lead in the fourth came on a play where all the Giants players stopped without hearing a whistle.

Osi Umenyiora did jump early and the play should have been ruled dead, but it wasn’t and Charlie Whitehurst completed the easiest touchdown of his life.

The only good that came out of this game was another incredible performance by Victor Cruz and Eli Manning had a career high 420 yards.

Unfortunately that is because the Giants couldn’t run the ball if their lives depended on it.

All-in-all, a terrible loss for a team that could have taken the lead in the NFC East. Giants fans should be ashamed of the effort put forth this week. Hopefully it gets better with the 4-1 Bills coming to New York next week.
