Today Tom Coughlin told reporters he though both Hakeem Nicks and Ahmad Bradshaw were doing better than last week and hoped Nicks would practice, but as it turns out neither were able to go.

The Giants stars were absent on Sunday’s win over New England, but it’s hard to believe they can afford to miss them again as the team travels to San Francisco.

Nicks, who is still on pace for over 1100 yards despite missing a game, was able to run full speed today but did not participate in any drills. He is taking it slow but it does actually look like he might be able to play.

Bradshaw has played with a broken bone in his foot before, so surgery seems out of the question. The only question remains is when the running back will be able to return.

The Giants could certainly use him against the 49ers No. 1 ranked rush defense.

Stay tuned tomorrow for updates on the situation.
