Former New York Giants Jeremy Shockey and Amani Toomer Engage in Twitter War
The New York Giants have filled their tight end vacancy with Martellus Bennett, but former Giants Pro Bowl tight end Jeremy Shockey has expressed his desire to return to New York.
A desire that sparked a Twitter war between former teammate Amani Toomer.
It started with Toomer’s reaction to a Daily News report that Shockey wants to return despite the bridges he burned when leaving the organization.
“No!!Shockey’I will never play4 you again!’he yelled at jerry Reese in 08. Let him keep his word. Bad teammate, worse person.” Toomer tweeted.
Jeremy Shockey responded with multiple tweets.

Amani Toomer on Jeremy Shockey: Bad teammate, Haha. Well he was the lazy one that broke my leg!!
Shockey is referring to the injury in 2007 when Toomer rolled over his leg and broke it, ending Shockey’s season before the Giants made a Super Bowl run. Shockey was absent at the parade, and he blames Toomer for the leg break. It didn’t end there.

Finally, after this barrage of immature tweets, Amani responded.
“Shockey,Thanks 4 proving my statement about being a bad person. Lieing about my EX.Low blow.Enough said.Have a nice day& good luck as a FA.”
It definitely got ugly between the two. Shockey does not seem to be able to let it go, which means he knows what Toomer says is true. The Giants want nothing to do with Shockey.

It started with a tweet by Toomer, but he responded only once to Shockey’s nonsensical tweets. It appears Shockey needs to heed his own advice and grow the hell up.
He wonders why the Giants have zero interest? These tweets pretty much sum it up.
