Tim Tebow is officially introduced to New York

It doesn’t matter if you are for or against him.  It doesn’t matter if you care or don’t care everyone knows who Tim Tebow is.  Tebow held an introductory press conference this afternoon in Florham Park,NJ.  It is the practice facility that the Jets use.  The general manager and head coach were not there for Tebow.  He had about 200 of his closest friends in the media though.  It was a mob scene which is unbelievable.  Tebow is a backup quarterback, they never get press conferences and not to that degree if they do.  Tebow is a different type of football player and has a strong legion of fans.  You can argue he may not be the best quarterback but he is a good guy and a great athlete.  He didn’t just win two national championships and the Heismann Trophy for nothing.  Tebow has always been a star and that just has grown in the NFL.

Tebow was very gracious and answered all the questions right.  He is very polished with the media and in front of the mic.  There are guys who just can’t handle that.  I don’t know how this will all work out on a football level but in terms of branding, merchandising and star power this is a slam dunk.  I don’t think I have ever seen anything like this.  If you thought Linsanity was crazy you haven’t seen anything yet.

We will see how this is all going to work out.  Tebow claims he and Sanchez have been textig all the time and have a great relationship.  He stated tha the is happy to be with a physical team that just wants to win.  Tebow didn’t shy away from New York which is always a good thing also.
