The New York Yankees have announced Thursday that they have failed to come to terms with Japanese infielder Hiroyuki Nakajima. This coming after the Yankees won the negotiating rights on Nakajima last month with a posting fee of about $2 million.
The 29-year old infielder was not the best match for the Yankees in the first place so this does not come as a shocker to most. He is expected to return to the Seibu Lions and the Yankees are expected to re-open the negotiating table with Eric Chavez.
